@RazRemiiX 10 speed autos have an advantage, shorter 1st gear, longer overdrive and you have a gear for every cruising speeds. but manual means the transmission does exactly what you want. not downshift when all you want is roll on the torque, not shift up or down in the middle of a corner. also when you're slowing down in a manual you can be off the throttle and controlling the shift points for either coasting or downshifting more early for. more engine braking. auto transmission can do some of these things but only if you are in the right mode. eco will short shift on upshifts and coast off the throttle, sport will push each. gear longer, and downshift more aggressively. I don't want to be constantly switching between mode when I'm driving. I've never driven an auto smart enough to guess what I want. for me it's just easier to put the gear I want rather than doing guess work to know at what throttle pedal it's going to down shift, how many gears it's gonna drop etc. in an auto you are removing the stick but the throttle pedal controls too many things I have no problem with EVs single gear because they'll always do exactly what you're asking. Autos are somewhat fine for big vehicles with enough displacement/power reserve that you re always using them at partial throttle. manual best for smaller cars with smaller engine and you want to use every bit of the performance that's available (like the 1L small hatch I learned from drive on) and better for twisty/canyon roads
