  1. ​ @Yvaneify  maybe it is changing with the price cuts but people driving corollas are doing housemaid /ubering or delivering food to people who own Teslas. They probably dont have the tax liability to get 7500 tax credit, not homeowner, etc. and are not interested in anything fancy in a car just reliability and affordbility

  2.  @Yvaneify  model 3 is not luxury but premium. the performance, comfort, sound system, seats, infotainment make it premium.

  3.  @etherealicer  I very much prefer foldable plastic box. it doesn't take much space when you don t use them. then you can stuff all your groceries in one or two boxes. no need for bags and you can arrange things with heavy at the bottom, fragile on top and make sure everything is snug, this way you dont break eggs, or smash fruits and veggies and it stays in place in the trunk

  5.  @JakkeJakobsen  I've sat and road tripped in all those brands TBH I was never particularly impressed. I prefer my Kia Sorento cloth seats to the leather found in those brands. I love nice leather but not for car seats the volvos where probably 20-30yo 200-300k miles though 😂 not leather and in terrible shape with no more headliner, exposed wires, but still going strong... others almost new rentals or cars in the family I drove on long trips. what is considered luxury in cars is mostly about brand image, appearance, materials and sounds, and gadgets. all mostly minor things IMO except for the sound/quietness. in that regard Tesla gave me a similar premium look to lets say a Lexus, with a more modern design than Lexus that looks more like a retired person car. tesla slightly worse in terms of materials but it was a realtively high mile Model 3 that was doing 1200miles commute every weekend. better in terms of sound (especially that hybrid CVT that screams whenever you press the accelerator)
