  2. but it totally makes sense. I instinctively kinda do it with my MTB. I always store it in middle gear as a compromise to keep both tension in the derailleur on the lower side, and the chain straight. the big ass granny gear 46T cog puts a lot of tension on the derailleur I guess I just have better understanding on how bikes work compared to torque wrench
