it would be nice to see the same level of technology in ebikes...I'm wondering how light a 750W motor could get. with very high gear reduction through harmonic drive or two stage planetary gear reduction you could have a tiny motor that would generate high torque and the motor would be able to deliver 750W from a very low speed up to 28mph. a 27in bicycle rotates only ~350rpm at 28mph. if you have 7*7 gear reduction you have a motor than an spin 17krpm and a torque multiplied by x49 or even 5x5 and 8750rpm no need for multiple speeds, just a flat 750W power band from a few mph to 28mph. a lightweight rear hub motor and you can delete the freewheel to save weight and have Regen.

amazing tech but they could go one step further and make even smaller motors and put one on each wheel no more differential and torque vectoring
