  1. best of both world would be a tire that becomes more grippy when you load it with cornering, accelerating or braking, but wouldn't deform much and be efficient under light load when crusing at constant speed. maybe a tire with only the center of tire touching the ground and being much harder, efficient and wear resistant but when you accelerate, decelerate, corner, the mass transfer on rear, front or side tires would make the sticky part of the tire touch and provide more grip
