Aprilia figured out DI in their DITECH engine which was a great engine with 2 stroke power, and 4 stroke efficiency/emissions but only in 50cc. despite many rumors of larger displacement versions with hope of reviving the RS 125/250 and even 500cc rumors they eventually stopped making them I think due to more drastic euro emissions and probably lack of funding too
