  1. they basically made a 500cc V8 and welded the pistons together 🤣 but sticking to 4 strokes was still forward thinking. road version had no real interest because a circular piston v4 with a bit more displacement would have been just as powerful and simpler/more reliable what's crazy is nowadays a road legal 1000cc panigale V4 can rev 16500rpm
