  4. "but but American corporation!!" So dumb. At least in the United States, companies usually fight to protect their data from the government, needing legal pressure to release info or comply. Meanwhile, in China, the companies are extensions of the government; all working together. Yes, Google and Facebook and the others need to be hammered for how they handle user's data and profit of it, but that's a separate and unrelated issue to Chinese companies.
