@kevonwalker82 you're judging history with today's standards. And really, you should look into the debates they had regarding slavery, the founders. Those men also made it possible for the practice of slavery to be stopped, in the west at least.

@台灣殖民 go do an internet search, because you're wrong. The Arab slave trade dwarfed the Atlantic slave trade and continued well past when the United States got rid of it. Still, slavery exists today.

@台灣殖民 no, I meant to say only what I said. If you want to compare evils though, the Arab was worse. They'd castrate the males, violate their religion by enslaving other Muslims, and by the numbers the Arab slave trade dwarfed the Atlantic slave trade.

@kevonwalker82 also, are you aware that the first "legal" slave owner here was a black man? Or that a fairly high percentage of free blacks owned slaves? A higher percentage of their population than percentage of white that owned slaves.
