  1. If he had protected the federal buildings, the feds would have to cause to be there. These locations need to show that there's a difference between a protest and a riot. They won't though, because they're busy trying to escape blame for fictional gripes about policing. Which, if you're unhappy about police, it's local representation that sets policy.
