  3. There's certainly an effort by equity beneficiaries and the studio to paint this a certain way. He wasnt a samurai, was likely simply a slave. His whole story is bunk. Best case, he was a body gaurd. Likely? Not really.

  4. There's evidence he was a servant, maybe carried swords as basically a mule. There's no real evidence of him being a samurai.

  6.  @Duck_Norris  there is evidence that he was kept around as a curiosity. Much else of what people claim? No. Much of the samurai claims came later. Which we all know japan is very quick to open up and teach outsiders their ways.

  7. ​@guywholikesheelies3231 the history on him is not remotely solid. Check more sources. Dude is barely a blip, then vanishes. Only a couple pieces of art maybe possibly depict him. Much of the writings of him came well after.
