  1. Troy J Medicare is not free...legal taxpayers pay into it..it's fraud when illegal aliens apply for it. Socialize medicine is really population control. Quality of health care declines...supply of Dr and nurses decreases.

  3. yep.. I know people up in Montreal. The taxes they pay are nuts! Real estate taxes are off chart.. for what you get. Many people move to MI or New York. It's cheaper.

  4. link.. look at doctors and nurses over seas.. with socialized med. Many file citizenship HERE because the pay is better. Mal practice insurance is high here.. still overall quality of life is 100% better in US vs Greece or France. Many docs and nurses today are dropping out of field because of Obamacare/medicare crap. They don't get paid. I personally know a doctors group where they had to take out a 5 year loan just to make payroll. Medicare takes years to pay up. YEARS! It is why some hospitals don't accept it.

  5. One.. if you are not a citizen of Canada.. and get sick.. you pay full price. Very expensive. My apendix burst in a socialized med country, Greece, while I waited in ER room. It was a mess. I nearly died. Not only did I battle the peritonitis but from also had an infection from a bed sore on my tail bone. I was there for over 3 weeks! Never again. My dad paid under the table to docs big time just to get me a private room. The US has the best medical on earth next to Israel.

  7. mountainfolks they'll treat a non citizen like we do at ER...but the payment is up front. As for extended Care...they won't take a non citizen unless they get a sponsor, someone who will back their bills. Same here in US except in some cases.

  8. John Doe not true...compare the death rates of countries who have socialize med and those that don't. I'm 58. No health insurance. Laid off. I'm too young to get my socialized Medicare. Too young to get into my 401k without penalty. Too old to start all over! Obamacare folks have been bombarding me with calls. It's a scam. 14500 ded. With 28k yearly premium! No lie. They start off affordable then increase everything 150%! Best to pay as you go. I also make too much to get medcaid. That one hasn't changed...as Liberal socialist want all to think. I say...let the states figure it out. Each state is different. Massachusetts or Maine don't have many poor or middle class. They want obamacare because it's affordable to them!

  9. I just checked into medishare.. I may go that route. 12K per year.. high ded though. I seriously don't want to take out of 401 K yet. But if I have too I will. I worked hard all my life. Both kids are loan free. Daughter is a CRNA , son a mechanical engineer. I'm trying..High health care cost and my age are pulling me back to end of line. I really need a good break NOW.
