  2.  @casaccino  wrong. Take an econ 101 class. There are a couple graphs which explains tarriffs. Competition is the major player when government puts tarriffs in good and service. Consumer in this country have a choice of similar product to pick from. Gas and other utilities are different. There is no inflation. Dollar stores just kicked out their earnings. Majority of their products is made in China. They made money during tarriffs. Why? Because the Chinese devalued their currency so that prices are competitive.
