  1. Every thing in frig is wasted. Your pantry is the survival kit. We lived off canned soup and pop for two weeks during ice storm back in 2008. . Luckily our gas wasn't shut off. I also made bread without eggs...plain bread. Very easy to make. We also had our fire place going all the time. Save up on wood folks. Cell phones are a luxury...you can still communicate via a center emergency center. It's a pain...but it can be done.
