And that is exactly what will happen. If she does appear, she'll have to acknowledge all the folks who were her pals and others who were at party 35 years ago. The homeowner if alive will also be there. And if they find out lies, they can sue the pants off her.

Overall I think stuff like this needs to be addressed anytime a Polly candidate is up for any position. You can't cry wolf all the time without evidence. These hearings cost US taxpayer money. Someone has to pick up the tab when stuff like this happens. Trump is right when he said there is a process. If she doesn't testify, she should be fined. Or.. feinstein should since she withheld it until last minute. This crap has to stop.
