  1. Fyi. Constantine's mother Helena built churches in holy sites. She was the one who sought out the locations and then once confirmed, she commissioned a church. She did this through out holy land. During Christ time...this location was the city's garbage pit. Romans used this area specifically to crucify people. Imagine what it looked like when Helena saw it.
