Fyi: The debt ceiling is a figure set to determine what government can spent for the future. Not today! The debt service fee is Amt government pays every month for what they DID spend. It's around 44 billion per month. Social security and Medicare all keep going because they are trusts. It's your money not money that was budgeted. The military keep getting paid as well because they are a separate entity and by law... They always get paid. The smoke and mirrors is laid down by politicians who lie about debt ceiling. They push the fear. I say let it shut down.
