@FilipMoncrief You should know that Slovenia is not Slovakia and it is much more western than Czechia.
2
@FilipMoncrief you should also check the honest guide channel and you will see how backward are people living in Czechia. You don't see that kind of dirty scams in western Europe - not even in Italy.
2
@FilipMoncrief you are totally wrong about Slovenia because Slovenian country side is at least on the same level or richer than Ljubljana unlike in Eastern Europe where only capital cities are ok and the rest of the country is poor. I lived in Vienna for a year so I can say that Ljubljana is more western looking city than Vienna. Slovenia is quite different from Croatia. I know that Czechia is poor with exception of the capital city of Prague and this is true for most Eastern European countries.
2
@FilipMoncrief are you from Czechia? I was in Prague a long time ago and it was very much a Soviet Union kind of city and it doesn't look much better today judging by what I see on honest guide channel. Ljubljana is very much western city because borders are close and there is strong influence from western Europe. I guess the opposite is true for Vienna and I guess the border to western Germany is quite far from Prague so Prague is still much more eastern European city than western.
2
@FilipMoncrief I think Croatia also feels more western country especially Adriatic coastline than Czechia.
2
@FilipMoncrief don't be silly. You don't know more about cities just by looking at stats than people that actually live in those cities. I think Vienna is a great city and in many ways better than Ljubljana despite Ljubljana feels more western city than Vienna. I don't know why but I think Ljubljana was shaped by hoards of tourists from western Europe. Sometimes in the center of Ljubljana there are more north Italian tourists than local people and they brought their culture and expectations with them so they shaped the city to look almost like other western European cities. You don't get that in Vienna and even less in Bratislava or Belgrade or Prague.
2
I am from Slovenia and I can tell you Czech people are eastern Europeans unlike Slovenians that are western.
1
@summerday1983 yes I lived in Vienna for some time and I felt like I live in eastern Europe. I am from Ljubljana and it feels more western than Vienna also Klagenfurt looks like a western city unlike Vienna.
1
@FilipMoncrief The whole Czechia is so backward like you would go 30 years back in time in comparison to Austria Italy or Slovenia.
1
@FilipMoncrief I was many times in Italy and Venice so I can say cities there are safer than Prague. It is not just about scams. It is the quality of food, of service, order, clean streets, buildings, environment... Prague is a dirty gypsy city similar to other eastern European cities.
1
@FilipMoncrief were are you from?
1
@FilipMoncrief I actually don't like Croats and I have nothing against Czech people yet I think Croatia is more western country than Czechia so it is not about nationalism.

@FilipMoncrief did you ever live in Vienna? It is different to just visit the city as a tourist or to live and work there for months or years. I lived and worked in Vienna in 2018 and 2019 for more than a year so I know the city well beyond the facade that tourists usually see. I worked in a large international company with coworkers from all over the world and I remember that Germans who lived in Vienna and even Austrians from other parts of Austria though Vienna feels very much as eastern European city like Budapest, Belgrade, Bratislava, Prague... Vienna outside of city center and tourist locations is quite a different place. Food/drinks in restaurants/bars outside the center is surprisingly cheap because many poor people live in Vienna and there are many rather dirty places like in other Eastern European cities and unlike in Ljubljana or Klagenfurt or Venice. Vienna is also a city of brothels. Once I counted all brothels that I could see from a bus ride between my company and the place I stayed both west from the center and I counted 14 of them. All you see are a rather dubious stats. I can also say that people of Vienna are very cold - so cold that Germans are warm and women on the street are afraid to talk to strangers unlike women from other parts of Austria that are quite warm and friendly. So much about feeling safe in Vienna.
1
@FilipMoncrief So since I have a different opinion than you then my opinion is biased and according to you I am a backward Eastern European? You clearly disrespect other opinions and maybe you are the backward Eastern European? Where are you from?
1
@FilipMoncrief I mentioned brothels to tell you that Vienna is not such a nice city that everyone looking just stats think of it also coworkers that were from Germany and even from other parts of Austria think Vienna feels like an Eastern European city. You should live some time in Vienna and you might feel the same. You still didn't tell me where are you from?
1
@FilipMoncrief So you never lived in Ljubljana or Vienna or Prague and you know more about life in these 3 cities than me despite I lived more than a year in Vienna and decades in Ljubljana? You are so silly. LOL!

Portugal belongs more to eastern Europe because it is poor like eastern European countries.
