I worked for an IT company that was hiring people just to fire them for fun and I was one of the victims. Later I met many that had the same terrible experience of working hard and yet they got fired after 6 months having no clue why. When you do everything they say fast and you do a good job - they have zero complains and then they just fire you saying that you are incompatible or such similar BS and they did this to many before you and after you leave the job. Even the now richest woman in my city was their victim approximately the same time I was there 20 years ago.

The first time is hard. Then it gets easier.

I was fired two times despite I worked hard and good and they told me that I am good they still fired me and it was devastating for me until I got a job with huge pay and real appreciation for my by top developers. This is why I hate to work in my stupid country - "socialist" Slovenia and I love to work just across the border in the capitalist Austria.

It is crazy that today "investors" value IT company more even much more when it fires a huge percentage of professionals. This happened to Meta - Facebook where soon after the layoffs were announced the stock started to rise very fast. From approx. 90 it went up to 390 today - in just one year. Clearly stock investors in IT companies have no clue what they are doing.

@CTimmerman by what logic company with less employees - means less work done is more valuable than company with more employees especially when you cannot replace that workers with robots? It just doesn't make sense yet investors value smaller company 4 times more than approximately 30% larger company - by the number of employees.
