  1. No! Only Greenlandic people will say what they want. They actually said that they want to join USA because USA can offer to them far more than any other country. It is childish to think that 55 thousand people can live as totally independent in a huge island with so much oil and other treasure burried in the ground because Russia would soon invade them and then treat them terrible.

  2. @ It is silly to compare the rough 19 century Americans with Americans today. They are so very different. America has a lot of money to invest in Greenland, the best technology to extract oil and metals there and finally the strongest army to protect people of Greenland from potential Russian invasion. This is why all smart Greenlanders want to join America and not any other country.

  3. Greenlandic people don't want to be part of Denmark anymore and they are also smart enough to know they cannot be totally independent because Russia will invade them soon. Smart Greenlanders want to join the country that can offer them the best deal and this is why they want to join USA.
