I must say Slovenia was super expensive in comparison to Croatia until recently when Croatia became so expensive that even Slovenia looks cheap. In a way I feel relief that Slovenians are not the most greedy anymore.

I am from Slovenia and I agree with you. No more Croatia because people there became so greedy.

@gp78972 I am going to Hawaii this summer. It is expensive but you get the real quality for the money unlike in Croatia where you get a lousy appartment and bad food for expensive price.

This is not true. Prices go way down after the summer tourist season ends.

@TimmmTim What Croatia offers more than Albania? Accomodation in Croatia is lousy, food is no good - similar to Slovenia and it is quite possible Albania offers better food. So I would really like to know what in Croatia is better than in Albania.

Yea you get basic accomodation in Croatia for the price of a 5 star hotel in Greece.

@aton9755 so for 950 they can spend 4 days at Croatian sea. They should be able to spend at least 14 days so the prices are 3 times to high.

@aton9755 but Slovenians and Croats easily afforded 14 days vacation in Croatia 5 years ago. Croats became extremely greedy when they got Euro. Clearly it was mistake to give them Euro.

@aton9755 The greed is a huge shame for Croats right now. Many foreign tourists that travel through Slovenia back home complain about how greedy are Croats and are quite grateful to see more normal Slovenian prices. Croat government should do something about this shame.

@eddojus6086 I was in Croatia last year and it was already expensive - so expensive that one Croat tourist from Germany was complaining over the phone how expensive it was even for people working in Germany. I checked the same accomodation with breakfast and supper that I had last year and the price went up 50% from the last year that was already expensive.

@massafelipe8063 Don't be silly. Many Croats here said they are not able to afford vacations on Croatian coast anymore. Many foreign tourists are saying the same and finally this year is about 50% more expensive than last year and 100% more expensive than 5 years ago. Inflation was much smaller than that.
