@walkthelonesomeroad1792 Hungarians are Slavs by blood and genes according to DNA analysis. It is true that they don't speak a Slavic language. Their language is close to Turkish and it is sometimes hard to differentiate between Turkish and Hungarian because they sound so similar.

Where are you from? You should know that many Slavic speaking nations don't have Slavic blood and there are nations like Hungarians that are Slavs despite they don't speak a Slavic language anymore.

@walkthelonesomeroad1792 look at the map of haplogroup. Hungarians are clearly Slavs with the Slavic R1a as dominant and have close to zero N the haplogroup of Magyar warriors that brought them their current language.

Ancestors of modern day Slovenians (old name Carantanians) were Huns beside Slavs. This is why small Slovenians are such badass in team sports.

@dysprosiumdead5078 I totally agree with you on Slavic languages being to supreme. Shame on Hungarians that replaced a beautiful Slavic language with that mess that they speak now. It happened around the year 1000 when a Magyar warriors came to Hungary and brought their language to Hungary. Today Hungarians have close to zero genes from those warriors yet they speak their Turkish sounding language.

If you have a brother and he starts speaking a different language from his original one and he speaks it all almost all his life so he can speak new language better than original one he is still your brother right? Sorbs are still Slavs by blood and genes despite they speak mostly German. They are Germanized Slavs. Hungarians are Slavs by blood and genes despite they speak totally foreign language.

@TheSidewalkMoth76547 Being or not being Slavic is more than just speaking or not speaking a Slavic language. It is more about genetics than about what language you currently speak. Being Slavic is part of national identity. The same is true for other nations - nation groups. We all know Irish are Celtic people despite the wast majority of them now speak English - the Germanic language.

@TheSidewalkMoth76547 The fact is that languages and genes can mismatch in many cases. Slavic nations are not the same as Slavic speaking nations. The same is true for Germanic, Celtic and Italic nations.

@TheSidewalkMoth76547 I belong to a Slavic nation and I can tell you that they teach us that other Slavic nations are our brothers by blood and genes and not just nations that speak languages from the same language group. Now that we have the DNA analysis we know this is only partially true since there are nations that are actually brother nations and speak languages from the same language group and there are nations that are not closely related despite they speak similar or even the same language and there are many such cases.
