Your comment is stupid because extinction had nothing to do with the hygiene. The old world people were immune to the old world diseases while new world people were not immune so this is why most of them died when old world diseases came to new world.

The main reason Illyrians are skipped over is the modern politics of nations that currently live there. Serbs, Croats and Bosnians don't like to recognize that they are the same people and that they are not Slavs by origin.

@solaris025 yes look at haplogroups where you can see that they are the same people with the dominant I2a - old Balkan European haplogroup. Foreign nations throughout history divided them so it was easier to conquer and hold them. You comparison to Scotts, Irish and Welsh is nonsense. Those are Celts that now speak English but genetically they are not Germanic people like English are.
