  3.  @duhni4551  Citizen initiatives by definition are created by a group of people that does not represent the society as a whole. Polls can easily be rigged by the interested party -- and USA is one very influential and powerful interested party. Therefore, you did not convince me at all. My question was rhethorical and socratic in nature. The correct answer is -- nothing but a referendum can truly convey the will of the people and that's what was called for in this matter of paramount importance. The fact that there was no referendum neither in Finland nor in Sweden means that democracy has eroded and became corrupted, and it's USA that truly rules in both countries.

  4.  @duhni4551  Those petitions by definition represent only the people who support it, since those who do not, are not questioned, what's so hard to understand? And polls are routinely rigged in clever ways by tweaking the audience by the companies who run them -- that's how they make money. The only way to get an objective picture is through a referendum and that wasn't done in this case in fear that the preferred result wouldn't come through. Why not do it otherwise? It's not like Russia threatened to attack Sweden or Finland and not like NATO would accept them immediately anyway, one month to prepare a referendum wouldn't change anything. If you do not see the sheer politicity of all that crap, you are simply blind and brainwashed, and don't you dare call that decision democratic because it isn't. A counter initiative in the time when Western propaganda created a global scapegoat boogeyman of Russia to cover for its own mistakes, bah. Preposterous how infantile and ill-informed you are.
