  3.  @dairallan  all the stories I have heard regarding Eton mess including by Jamie Oliver (both British and a chef) have said it was a pavlova that was dropped but even if this is untrue because I don't presume to know more about uk culture than someone who is Scottish assuming that you are Scottish due to the flag that dosnt change the fact that this IS made with meringue and NOT oats therfore its still a deconstructed pavlova making this with oats would be a very different dessert entirely 😉
