Disgusting degrades a human being. Lots struggling..

Take fleece long line hoodies to churches to distribute to cold pensioners. Not too expensive to do but over clothes makes a big difference. Need community spirit to be actioned .

He did it before while in opposition. Made all the right noises. First thing his chancellor did, cancel heating allowance He's lower than a snakes belly

They are greedy
3
And for 2 homes ! They should also do their bit and give it up Typical two tier Labour
2
Tough. I get into arguments with the "rich pensioners" brigade. I ask them to tell me what income for a pensioner is "rich" Oddly they never commit themselves to an answer. THAT IS THE QUESTION THOUGH, what should be a living pension for the non "rich " 73% pensioners in the UK ?
2
To be fair, also Tories didn't deal with that problem. But they did give cost of living allowances (I didn't get those retired after 2016 so new state pension)
2
@TheHiddenLake kind to offer though ,❤
2
Best thing my son bought me A longline hooded fleece lined hoodie and a pair of fleece boots. Helps to cope. But at nearly 70 question is why in winter I have to dress like a yeti to stay warm and save money ?
2
Paul Thorne has offered to pay her heating bill for a year to help her 👏👏👏👏
2
And heating is going up again. Meanwhile they make massive profits... How come they can skin us alive like this ?
2
So sorry , it's unfair
2
I keep asking, if they rent out second homes while living in another home such as Downing St are they committing fraud claiming heating allowance . After all if tenants are there they won't be able to live there ? So they benefit from a home a tenant and..oh yes a bonus for heating allowance !!!! Nice little earner
2
It really is showing their priorities isn't it Rubs salt into already open wounds
2
UK official poverty line for income : any one individual living on an income under 250 a week. That's a lot of pensioners , including me (I'm lucky, have a small private pension at the moment, but already being eroded by tax). Makes you think ?

@69spook 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
1
Her listed name still isn't as long as Starmers. Deed poll will have problems changing his, at this rate it won't fit on the form !!!
1
Kind of you ❤️
1
Go outside the gates and play the conversation extremely loud on loudspeakers, make them hear !!!
1
@mrnice7570 And our electoral system not being proportional voting
1
@lindaoxtoby160 scary for you, so sorry. I hope that you'll be ok. I can recommend a longline fleecy lined hoodie, doesn't need to be expensive and definitely helps over clothes. You know who's have some, think 12.00? Hope this info helps. All the best
1
@TheBucky15 If you can get pension credit you may end up with more help. New State pension puts you 3.00 over .
1
@patsaunders3555 Lots are in this position, it's ridiculous. Very sorry not enough in this day and age 🥺
1
No respect, no empathy Very childlike attitude as nothing is thought through. Rushed decisions with awful outcomes
1
Definitely looking to turf people out. What the hell is going on ?
1
Yep
1
Screwed us over. Waited 6 years extra. After 2016 New State pension. Engineered to be 3.00 over cut off for pension credit. No payments for WFA or cost of living. Screwed again. Crafty politicians.
1
Definitely.
1
I've said blast it outside downing street...like they did the "it can only get better" song. In fact run them both one after the other ! Love to see that 👍
1
Didn't know there was a water allowance ???
1
Paul Thorpe has already offered, but very kind of you 😁👍
1
Making massive profits but putting up costs
1
So sorry
1
Absolutely ! It was never called a benefit. Another way to denigrate and control the narrative. I find it disgusting to have had this changed Total lack of respect for the pensioners who paid into this
1
Plus it only gets better outside Downing Street. Loud and clear !!!!
1
With their windows open 🤬
1
🥺🥺🥺🥺
1
Deleting the effect of the triple lock or any private pensions. I've worked out next year.. 460 less 200 WFA and 100 tax Increase should be 160 for a year..3.00 a week. Well that's bread and milk sorted...🤬
1
But she's still petrified to put her heating on. Electric and gas is getting too scary. Of course it's not healthy for the house not to be heated either. The structures suffer, setting up damp and mould problems. That is also part of the issue not being addressed.
