🥺🥺🥺🥺 That's terrible. I'm so sorry , very stressful. They don't see the effect coming on road transport. Last time everything went up as transports costs rose. I'd put this lot down their black hole , so sick of hearing that ..
1
So sorry.
1
@Robt5610 nope..But I wouldn't mind having that sort of money...
1
Someone wants to make money out of drugs. Its becoming a nanny state.
1
Amazing how politicians just can't see it isn't it ? 🤬🇬🇧
1
@Zikar No and if They hadn't upset everyone with this authoritarian approach I expect people would have given them time. But actually, they have had time they've been in opposition in parliament. So they did know. They just keep messing up. Doom merchants.
1
@barados2006 I understand. However I'm worried that this may be only the start, that is a major concern. When you don't have a lot it soon gets eroded. I hope that you are claiming pension credit if you can do so rather than just coping. I wish you well 🙂
1
Starmer has dragged both his wife and his son into this freebie donations disgrace. That alone says what sort of man/family this is.
1
Yeah but they're all leaving and taking their money with them
1
He's awful
1
Given in and put my heating on today.
1
@elainemackie1431 Fed up, was looking forward to retiring, now it's getting pretty miserable
1
All the cost of living payments.. Prime example.
1
@supremeworld87 Yep so tell me where it should be ?
1
@supremeworld87 That's not what I asked you ? I'd like to be able to gauge what people think is a liveable wage
1
🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫I'm hoping that they'll miss that one 🥺
1
Most only 200 but important when yr on low money
1
Pensioners have very few choices. Its punishing those not in a position to fight back, other with votes. Never be forgotten
1
Ah, so now water companies are jumping on the band wagon. Wanting more off us..🤬🤬🤬 How much do they think we live on ? My increase is 160 pnds next year after tax and losing WFA How can I afford this ?? I can see people not flushing loos every time and showering less. Back to the dark ages 🤦🤦🤦
1
@niknoks7638 Yep I'm very worried about that. Looks like they want to starve us out.
1
900 pnds this year.. Personal tax allowance not increased and supposedly now not being increased for more years (budget) so because I have to pay tax I didn't get that. Tories gave us the 900 not Labour so they can't claim it. This year taking off 200 WFA lost I'm expecting next year an increase of 160 pnds. That's the reality. This man wanted 30k for a breakfast with him. He's a disgrace.
1
Nothing surprises me with this lot
1
Spot on, plus our generation weren't expected/encouraged to have careers. We were expected to bring children into the world not work. Therefore we mainly worked in low paid jobs or part time. Hardly conducive to good pensions or living in mansions. We were kept down by the times we lived in. Now it's different, it's accepted for women to have careers.

🥺🥺🥺
1
It makes me furious when he talks about claiming help. Listen !!!!! Im a pensioner , I dont qualify for ANY help because after waiting 6 years I was 3.00 over Pension credit. Done deliberately 🤬🤬🤬🤬 Live in the real world , try it !! You have no understanding of what yr talking about.
1
And his name was ..? 🤔
1
Ok, so TELL me what is classed as poor in this country ???? 10000, 11318 pnds a year, 12000 a year 13000, 15000 ???? I'm sick of hearing this pension credit nonsense. SHAME ON YOU !!!! Especially when you're taking your 3000 entitlement 🤬 Hang your heads in shame. Grow some and own up this is to punish non working people of which a lot of pensioners are included. All I hear is... We will look after the working people, again SHAME ON YOU. That goes for all Labour MPs for not protecting the vulnerable in Great British society.
1
@WOLFIE-96B-UK bit of a difference then
1
Especially as energy costs are rising
1
@brianconnelly-s5e I'm putting off going
1
Lol he talks about freedom while trying to turn us into a nanny state
1
Came after pensioners because they don't work. Simple as .
1
@davefish8107 I'm living on 13000. New State pension is just over pension credit. Designed that way. Because this includes a small works pension I now get taxed too. So effectively I don't (and won't ) get the full benefit of the triple lock.
1
Don't know if still available but you used to be able to claim for food for certain conditions ? Sorry to hear about your struggles 🥺
1
@donnabennett2546 I know the frustration of waiting the extra 6 years, I was caught the same. We have to just fight on, no choice. I'm dreading this budget though I've never felt that pensioners have been so disrespected .
1
A few headlines ? 😂😂😂😂 Every day another nonsense. Houses not for us, for illegal immigrants we're hearing ... Caught on tickets again.. He's not smiling now is he ?
1
And today another 20k for 6 weeks accomodation for his son to study... Thats 333 a week. Chequers, own home, downing st...but nowhere to study ???? Sounds more like an expensive holiday 🤔
1
Wow sounds a bit heartless ?
1
Ok. I've worked my increase out for next year. 1) I'm pushed into tax 2) no 200 pnds so take that off money coming in 3) end result . THREE POUNDS A WEEK INCREASE. Wow that will REALLY keep up with inflation. I don't want a reply Save it for the wine millionaires yr touting.
1
And they spent a fortune to send 4 people 😳 built homes that the Rwandans happily sold to their own, thanks Britain !!!!🤬 Can't trust any of them. But Labour/ Starmer 😱😱😱
1
Another Lammy on the loose 🤦🤬
1
@supremeworld87 Not what I understood ? When this started there was uproar that they claimed on two homes ?
1
If theres one good thing that has come out of the loss of WFA, its that a lot have now claimed pension credit. So that will reduce Labours expected windfall. And for years to come, and come, and come..... I want them all to claim it after this.
1
I'd say to all these commentators... BE careful who you align yourself with. He isnt showing himself as a man of good character or good ideas for this country.
1
It's going to get even rockier I think. I waited 6 years too. Last year pushed into tax because of a small work pension. Losing the WFA I reckon next year's increase will be 160 = 3.00 a week.
1
@YakovShani thought over 10000 they had to
1
@YakovShani ah I see, thanks for the reply 👍
