  1. I've used KDE and the first thing I always did, after checking for updates, was disabling the animations. I hate them. And install Fluent dark theme and Papirus icon theme. I don't use tiling. Like you I don't like the floating panel. I don't use KDE anymore, I went back to Xfce. And I don't use Arch, BTW.
