  16. Pulsie Boi  Hmm, you appear to be one of the types of peeps who are determined to find moral outrage in something, no matter what: In my 60 years I have attended many Pride festivals, and have NEVER witnessed displays of sexual intercourse, public or otherwise. If such incidents happen, then of course the participants should be arrested....it is not acceptable. But as I said, I have never seen this....have you? I do know that such occurrences have been known to happen at music festivals, though, which puts paid to your 'heterosexuals would never do this' shite. As for nudism, well no, I have never seen that either....not total nudity, at any rate. Partial nudity is seen by kids every day in the media, and I don't believe it fazes them: maybe they are tougher than you believe? I know of parents taking their kids to gyms, swim pools, nudist beaches, etc. where they are exposed to nudity, but they never seem to have a problem with it....maybe because they are brought up that way they just see it as natural? Which is not to say I agree with their bringing their kids up that way: not being a child psychologist I have no way of knowing whether it's beneficial for kids, so I have no stance on the matter.  Look at the faces of the crowds at Pride events: all you will see are the smiling, happy faces of peeps young and old, gay and straight, having a great day out. No looks of shock, no kids going home traumatised, just a good time had by all. So no, sad man, the kids are NOT being indoctrinated, they are just been taught to be open-minded toward others who are different. Which surely you agree is a GOOD thing? They see far worse on TV and online every day than they will see at a Pride event, and after all, if their parents are fine with their kids attending such events who are you to deny them that right?               I suggest you direct your fake moral outrage at something more worthy.....say, the sexualisation of children in the media?

  20. Courtney But that was precisely my point.... the way the bible is structured means there was ALWAYS going to be contestation. As I said, what chance do people have of getting it right when it is so ambiguous? As to you refuting my point about biblical authors ripping off earlier religions, well I have to request you provide unbiased links to support that assertion. I see no evidence to believe it’s the other way round. And regarding my ‘violent times’ comment , well again, you can’t be serious?!? The vast majority of religionists who claim the end times are near cite this as one of their reasons: did you really not know that? They don’t specifically say religious persecution, just violence in general, as if there is more of a prevalence now. On a related note: you have made claims to not being religious. Can you please clarify what exactly you mean by that....do you not worship any god? I ask you this because many times in the past I have conversed with people who have made this claim, but when I have delved deeper it turns out they are indeed enslaved to one god or another. I would be grateful if you could explain what your situation is in this area. Your understanding of Christianity is ambiguous, to say the least: you claim that warnings in the bible have come true, but it hardly takes a god to make such vague predictions as to what will happen in the future and being proved correct...it happens all the time. It simply takes a modicum of common sense and sagacity. And of course, circular reasoning.

  22. Courtney  It's strange, you seem to have a good knowledge of the origins of religions, but yet come out with such dubiously spurious remarks as 'For example, Noah also demonstrated this same allegiance to Yahweh and The Flood can be traced back to 2345 BCE.' I mean couldn't you at least be a bit more specific: what day of the week did the flood start? Was it on a morning? Afternoon? night? Gentle sarcasm apart, you have no proof whatsoever that such events as The Flood ever happened, nor that Noah ever actually existed, yet here you are typing as if it's all known fact like the worst kind of low-education brainwashed religionist! You are obsessed with linking such things as weather related disasters and humanitarian crises to biblical prophesies, but it really doesn't hold up: apart from the fact that there is no proof for any link, and that such 'prophesies' can, as I have already stated, be made by men with a religious agenda (such as religions becoming increasingly violent toward each other), there are many other reasons why such events are occurring, such as global warming and the relatively recent explosion in human populations. WHERE is the proof that Sodom and Gomorrah was an actual event, that they even existed? WHERE is the proof that The Flood was anything more than a fable?  WHERE is the proof that god sent a bear to kill those kids for taunting a baldy man (I for one hope that little episode never happened....surely he wouldn't be THAT petty)? No, expecting people to slavishly adhere to events which may or may not have happened thousands of years ago is just a stretch too far, given human nature (again!).
