  3. Broken Doll   You know, I've been hearing that crap since my 20's, and I'm 60 now. In my early years I believed Americans would come to their senses and eventually restrict the amount and strength of guns they could own. How naïve I was! The one OBVIOUS fact is that a madman with a gun can kill many more than one without: the proof is all too evident in the amount of shootings your country has experienced in THIS YEAR ALONE! In my country, the UK, we enacted strict gun-regulation in the 90's, after the Dunblane massacre, and have not seen any similar ones since:  in every country that has enacted them, gun control measures have reduced fatalities! GUNS. DO. KILL.....and enable madmen to slaughter many more of your children. So I repeat: WHY do you love guns more than you love your kids? Many more Americans would be alive today if you lot had given up your Wild West mentality a few decades ago!

I never said your guns should be taken away altogether, just that there needs to be SOME form of control on who is able to obtain them, and yes, I do advocate for banning the more powerful ones. You are describing a scenario from the old Wild West, where everyone has guns so a messy gun battle is likely to ensue.......and god help anyone who's caught in the crossfire!

As for kids having access to guns, well, if you agree with that you are insane: the fact you never heard of accidental shootings didn't mean they never happened......we didn't have the blanket news coverage we have today. But if I can recall numerous incidences of American kids accidentally shooting their siblings, friends, parents, etc. I have to ask...why can't you?
