I love the way Zephyr looks like she is taking in everything you say, she’s such an adorable dog, obviously very intelligent too. This was a really delightful vlog, the places you visit always look so beautiful, it makes me realise what a wonderful country this is, especially in the summertime. Wow what an unusual spider, I’ve never seen one of those. Purton looked like a very special place to visit, like a boat graveyard. Such a relaxing and interesting vlog as always, I loved the owl footage, thank you Vanessa, lots of love.xxxx

What a fantastic vlog, my favourite one…but then again every vlog of yours is my favourite, they are all so interesting and relaxing. My son moors at Stenson Marina and we are regulars at Mercia marina, it’s lovely for the odd overnight stay there. It’s good to have plans and I can see the nomadic way of life really suits you but as you say it would be a hard life if you were less physically able, but I think you, Zephyr and Mr Mindful have a few more cruising years ahead. I am so sorry for your loss, I think a family loss makes you consider your own mortality and makes you realise you may not always be as physically fit and healthy. Your poem was very moving it brought tears to my eyes and the drawings were beautiful. The dandelion honey was interesting! Being vegan myself I might give it a try, I wonder if you over cooked it, I must look for a recipe. Oh I nearly forgot the boat you got to look around was amazing, what an engine room that was and such a cute little dog too. Take care Vanessa, Zephyr and Mr Mindful. Lots of love. xxxx

Another great vlog, how sad it was to see the boat on its side! I think you do well to keep moving all winter, our boat is moored at Sawley Marina and we’ve not been out in her since last October as you have to go on the river Trent to get to the canal and it’s been on red all of the winter, as it is most winters. Ours is a cruiser and the river would be too fast moving to try to move her, we’d probably be washed out to sea! Your cooking looked good, Dewsbury looked a lovely little town to visit, how are you finding the north, Northerners are supposed to be more friendly do you find that? How amazing to learn about the humble mouse, how amazing that it is such a survivor! Lovely art and poem, I don’t know how you manage to create such beauty each week, especially the poetry. Stay safe all of you, spring isn’t far away now.❤ xxx

@ thank you for replying, yes that’s right, it’s a fantastic charity. It’s a lovely marina, great facilities but being next to the Trent does have its problems, but at least we know the boat is safe as it can be as when the marina is in flood, (and the flood water has been over the pontoons twice this year,) the staff go round in small boats making sure the ropes are secure and that non of the boats are stuck when the flood water goes down. Despite that there was one live aboard boat that suddenly sunk at the marina this winter. The owner was at work, so he was ok, but it must have happened very suddenly as he’d slept aboard the night before! Take care Vanessa, I for one am looking forward to spring this year, it feels like we’ve had a proper winter this year. xxx
