  1. Hi Vanessa, what a sad swan story with a happy ending. So lovely to hear how the locals got together to help. I’m glad you have enjoyed the Chesterfield canal I’ve never cruised along it but I have walked along some stretches. It’s very beautiful and not very much used by boaters. How amazing to see and hear a lovely yellow wagtail, it was enjoying looking for bugs in the mud. What amazing history lessons you teach as you cruise along, nature lessons too, the orchid was beautiful. It looked a challenging cruise with lots of locks, low bridges and low water levels too.
