The little minis, were raced at Bathurst and often won their category. Often lifting both inside wheels, around corners. My family had an Australian built BMC ( Leyland ), Morris Mini, Minimatic with the hydrolastic suspension. Was our second car, long term for my mum - had it for 10 years on rural roads - completely reliable Replaced it with an auto 2 door Holden Gemini coupe in purple. German design ( Opel Kadett ), Isuzu engine, GM trimatic transmission. Again, completely reliable.

Yes, Ian would like that car, because he likes the rally Skodas, both from the same country. Australia has just recently got the Tatra trucks. The overhead cam, air cooled, rear engined V8, especially the quad headlight model is " superb " And they are not small Were in a movie on SBS.

Andre Citroen founded the company. The Light 15, was very innovative. Had many firsts You will see many of them in war movies, painted black. The logo, is the Double Chevron. It represents the teeth of gears. Andre discovered that instead of having teeth on gears, straight: if you angled them or made them into the shape of the logo, they "meshed" together much better, smoother and quieter and lasted longer. And if you think the little 2CV - meaning 2 horses - is good, check out the DS. Magical. The Wizard, mechanic in the US, is currently working on one - showing how it's hydropneumatic suspension works and can drive on 3 wheels. Citroen set the standard for so many items that are used in cars to this day. They are also in Electric Formula One with the Penske team
