  1. In Australia, VW Golfs are renowned for being unreliable - as testimonied by well regarded mechanics. They are not a comparison to Japanese cars. Customer Service here in Australia, from the VW/Audi Group is appalling and they are a predatory company, gobbling up as many other car companies as they can. Im glad they are getting their just deserts in China. Also, probably why Stellantis was formed, to counteract them. VW and Audi will buy a car company out, when they don't have that companies technology - aka the high speed electric car from Eastern Europe. Ironically the graph shown, puts the French in a very good position and Dacia is basically Renault as is Lada and Samsung and partly of Nissan. And still Renault is owned partially by the French people. You would be even more surprised by the results of French cars in Africa and the Middle East !. It's the US's loss, of not having French cars - the French have never looked back. Go the new electric Renault 5.🎉😂

  2. The boxer engine lays flat, with obvious gravity weight and added friction. Subaru engines are known for more quality tolerances, so may not take well to neglect. Also possible head gasket problems because of their design and oil seepage. So they probably stipulate more frequent oil changes. Their engines derive from aircraft engines during the war, before they made cars - actually it is because of the war, that they then made cars afterwards as they were not allowed to make military machines, as stipulated by the allies new agreements. The layout was advantages to all wheel drive outputs, hence their synonymous with AWD.
