In Australia, it is common now for manufacturers to offer your kitchen cabinets colour and material to be placed over your facia for both fridges and dishwashers Fridges can be varying colours, double doors, single door, upside down - bottom mount, and twin freezer draw doors at the bottom. Hitachi, even door a light bronze coloured vertical fridge with 3 doors Some bathrooms are WET bathrooms, where there is no shower screen and the whole bathroom is designed to get wet and drain and non slip and full cover toilet seat.

I haven't seen them in Australia - ours are usually sliding to the side, wind out on a chain, opening outwards, or sash type - lift up or sometimes opening sideways like in the video, but outwards, not inwards often on rods/handles because of flyscreens. We are not at the German level because of our climate - double glazing becoming more of a thing and better sealing. Tinted. However, the old Aussie wagons and American wagons of the 60's and 70's, had the dual two way opening systems of their tailgates - opening sideways or flat to sit on or use as a picnic table, even with the electric rear window - ahhhhh - how something's go backwards not forwards

Ironically, Aussies have probably, had it pretty good for a long time, with regards to weather and cheap utilities - but with climate change and skyrocketing utility prices, efficiency has turned right around. The irony part is Canada - because of their harsh winters, their insulation and sealing is top notch and possible "TRIPPLE" glazing. So when they suddenly experienced that phenomenal heatwave last year, surpassing many Australian temperatures - all they really have to do, is install the appropriate cooling system - humid/dry heat system - and the rest is all ready there - more efficient than us.

Australian toilets operate the same as the German ones - turn water over vertically and around the rim, only small amount in bowl. WA toilets seem to be like Americans ? Legislated dual flush in Australia for years, for water scarcity. Rare for in wall hidden cisterns. But now a mixture of wall hung, floor mounted and flush to the wall types - comes down to taste
