  1. Yes - 1st time at 17, gaining my P's. Went for L's at 16 and 9 months in NSW - then x3 months minimum before you could go for your P's. 1 year from that, you had your full license. Things have changed dramatically since, for the better - safer But It is, state by state, not nationally. Would need to log hours, night and day, etc. Still no where as good as the German system.
