  4. Perhaps a good video, would be how US and Aussies pronounce car brands and model names, differently. And different names for the same car. Eg Cressida and Celica - US says completely different to Australians.

You may have read the last guy wrong in the pub - I don't think it was in context to not concerned about women and being progressive, but more along the lines of: it's our pub and we can swear if we want, even if females are present - I could be wrong, but it is not clear. This is actually part of a female documentary on women's rights - very well done. They also chained themselves to the bar.

  7. Brisbane and Sydney are known for their spectacular storms. Hail storms and lightning. Both have had twisters but not on your scale. Darwin is ranked in the world top ten for lightning shows - particularly at this time of the year, with the monsoon. Tropical cyclone at the moment. Just formed.

  8. They might be Xmas beetles? But, they are nothing, compared to what you find in summer, on the shores of Rocky Valley Dam, above Falls Creek. Massive beetles, different shape with incredible chrome coloured surfaces. They just don't look real.

Although that building is progressive and will be the way buildings are built in the future - for many reasons: heat absorbtion, lowering city temps in cbd's, CO2 absorbtion etc, it has fallen into a shabby state - near the CBD, where Central Station is: Broadway. The green part, and the vertical gardens have not been maintained properly + it is now occupied by drug dealers and prostitutes.
