  1. Yeah, I would be more concerned about their massive claws. There are Goannas, Lace Monitors and Perenti's - there was even a limited Australian sports car called a Perenti. Perhaps they are just different names. I too, have heard that they will run up you, if you stand still. Also we have the fantastic Eastern Water Dragon - they live on the Murrumbidgee River, bordering the capital, where Canberrans' swim Also in the parks of Casino in North East NSW on the Volcanic Rim - where they will hop up onto your car, as soon as you arrive.
