Huntsman spiders are hilarious - harmless - clean up the bugs - have a great magical ability to appear suddenly in a ceiling corner, fully grown, out of no where, even with your place fully closed. !! ?? And they usually disappear the same way. One ran up the side of my refrigerator, so that he could be eye to eye with me ( it's eight eyes looking into my two eyes - lol 😂 ), he faced me, and flattened himself out to make himself look as big as possible - then because I needed to use the fridge - world war three, broke out. 😂

So, the Ford Everest was co-designed in Australia, in Melbourne at Ford's Engineering Design Excellence ( something like that lol ) dept. along with the Ranger. Ford US awarded it to Australia from our past reputation for various things. This has happened twice and been very successful. The two biggest selling VEHICLES in Australia for a long time , is now utes, not cars - like the Falcon/Commodore battle before. Hilux and Ranger swap continuously each month for top spot. Tax concessions for utes - not classed as cars but commercials. Some aspects of the design also compensate for our previous sedans that we lost, and can no longer be found in imported sedans. The Everest is the WAGON version of the Ranger. But different base and suspension - more family and refined and sells well. Was put up against Prado during development. Now is available with a twin turbo 3.0 litre V6 diesel and 10 speed auto. Shared with the VW Amarok.

Red Rooster does have good things. Needs to concentrate on NOT trying to do what everybody else is doing or trying to emulate another product. Their unique simple Chicken Rolls with mayonnaise is good - roll as is a baguette type style - long. Big variation between stores. Is Australian.

Sorry, iWrocker - I just realized, you have already done the video, of the Holden Ute and how to get them registered in the USA. Oops. 😂

The companies, that already make them in RHD will do better - like the UK market - it costs $20,000 to convert the car to Australian standards and design and compliance regulations.

It maybe the competition it would have presented to the established. Even despite size difference. They would have seen the popularity overseas, where the F150 type "trucks" aren't common. So they may have seen it as a threat. Same with the Nissan Skyline. I can't see what regulations, since lights and 5 mph bumpers etc, have gone. Europe's standards and seatbelts would be higher. This has never made any sense to me. I feel there is background pressure from the lobbying of car makers, who supply vast amounts of money to politicians, to protect their interests and certain models. The Skyline upset V8 Supercars - so very well could have upset Ford and GM as well, as well as police forces and NHSA ? Too many unanswered questions.

That's a good point - this has been done a couple of times over there - to get around the "age" requirement thingy for privately imported cars.
