And be done in chronological order. And all the variants. I think the Renault 16 was the first Hatch. There actually was a sporting version of it. Golf the one that presented the category to the world. The 205 is a classic. Smaller than the Golf. Seat also had the very good - in yellow - Ibeza GTi. Alfasud Ti. Yugo.   3. Obviously, can't read all the comments - so probably doubling up: but Volvo 360 GLT is connected to their Dutch collaboration with DAF. Gearbox and diff are a transaxle at the rear, like many Alfas. Great for rallying. Renault's 5 was available with a V6 mid engine, from Alpine ( pronounced Al - peen ), Renault engine - also used in the DeLorean. Known as the PVR engine. Standing for Peugeot, Volvo, Renault - to combine together to have a 6 cylinder engine, in the compact V6 format. I think it was also known as the Douvrin ? engine ?. Also there is actually a Renault 5 twin engine V6. Yes, x2 V6 engines.
