There is also the fabulously looking 480 ES Volvo hatch with pop up headlights and grille below the bumper - also from their Dutch connection DAF. We never got them in Australia.

True - a massive amount of cars not on the list - there's more not there, than there is. Lol. But it wasn't his video. And you would need an entire film, to see and list them all. And be done in chronological order. And all the variants. I think the Renault 16 was the first Hatch. There actually was a sporting version of it. Golf the one that presented the category to the world. The 205 is a classic. Smaller than the Golf. Seat also had the very good - in yellow - Ibeza GTi. Alfasud Ti. Yugo. Citroen DS3 Black edition etc The list is massive. Austin, Rover, MG. Even the Australian ( Mazda Pacific collaboration ), Ford Lasers TX-3 Turbos and AWD with rear bias and Aussie design skins.

Obviously, can't read all the comments - so probably doubling up: but Volvo 360 GLT is connected to their Dutch collaboration with DAF. Gearbox and diff are a transaxle at the rear, like many Alfas. Great for rallying. Renault's 5 was available with a V6 mid engine, from Alpine ( pronounced Al - peen ), Renault engine - also used in the DeLorean. Known as the PVR engine. Standing for Peugeot, Volvo, Renault - to combine together to have a 6 cylinder engine, in the compact V6 format. I think it was also known as the Douvrin ? engine ?. Also there is actually a Renault 5 twin engine V6. Yes, x2 V6 engines.
