  2. Smerconish knows exactly how we got here. His Party sat idly by while the Tea Party pushed out Moderate Republicans and ushered in a new ideology. Then they sat by again as the Trumpers came in and pushed out what was left of rational Republicans that the Tea Party didn't. Smerconish did nothing either time their Party lerched further Right towards fascism, except cover his eyes and ears. And that's why "Sargent Shultz" can pretend that he knows nothing.
