Funny you would say, "At least considered the other side humans." That would mean having equality and we all know one side was admittedly against that ... and from the looks of it still are. That's where it began to fall apart, they didn't want to see the "other" side as human/equal/worthy. As the years have gone by they have become more and more fearful of change and hate driven.

True, and even in a multi party system of Govt there will be need of coalitions, and those coalitions will typically fall on ONE SIDE OR THE OTHER of any issue. Thus making that multi party system a two party system in the end. The Dems and Repubs in the US are already multi party within their respective camps, we don't recognize it as being so because we don't have a Parliamentary form of Govt that puts those different groups out front to be viewed as separate entities.

@APaleDot You can't in good faith argue with them. Centrist know this and thus they have invented the "both sides" ploy just to have it all, but none of the responsibility if it goes wrong.

That is why I don't care for Centrists. By taking both sides, they want all the benefits of being right but none of the responsibility for being wrong. "You were neither hot nor cold, you were lukewarm so I spat you out."
