@dafttool they said the same thing about the end of racist and sexist. We are still working that out. Don't be too sure of the next generation changing things when it's hard enough to get them to come out and vote consistently.

@dafttool I'm not that much younger than you, I'm in the 1967 group. I admire your confidence in the future changing quickly. Hopefully you are correct.

@dafttool I doubt that it will be removed, I do think that it will be improved upon ... how, I don't have the answer to that yet.

Karen Byrd Yep, that's my point. Their hearts are in the right place, but it doesn't lead them to vote in the numbers to make that change happen as fast as they want it. Then they get jaded and sign the tune of "Govt can't do anything right so why vote at all" Not all of them of course, and not forever either because we too went through those stages and vote now. But there is a disconnect between their ideas/ideals and the harsh reality it bumps against, the generations before them have a duty to cross that divide and make those youthful dreams all of our reality.
