  1. IMHO, Democrats need to take the gun issue off the table by instituting the arming of all Americans over the age of 18. Have the Govt pay for your first hand gun, first shotgun and first rifle plus a case of ammo for each weapon. You pick out of a list of Govt issue weapons. Anyone with weapons already wouldn't qualify. That takes the issue off the table for Republicans. Do the same for abortion, outlaw it, but make birth control easily available/affordable to both men and women by making the Govt pay for it. The same with voting, everyone gets a picture ID for voting, but the Govt pays for it. What other sticks up their asses can we tackle by turning it around on them?
