  6. fromNYC everything you said has little if anything to do with the boneheaded behavior the Republican Representative exhibited at that meeting. No one needed to know he was carrying, that is sort of the point for having a concealed weapon license in the first place. What would have happened if as he was pulling it out someone assumed he had lost his mind or was about to shoot someone and they drew their own gun and shot him dead instead? The meeting was more than likely already secured by police or a security agency who would be armed, so again ... why did he feel the need to bring the gun AND top it off by brandishing it? He did it because of the gun fetish that many of these gun owners have. It could be considered a mental illness and a reason to limit his ownership and/or use of a gun. As the saying goes, "Think before you act." ... he obviously did not.
