  1.  @SirFingerLickin  Yes, there are many Trump-lite Republicans ready to take the wheel after Trump wrecks the car in November. BUT, the smartest thing that REAL Republicans/Conservatives could/should/would do is take the "Lincoln Project" and make it an actual political party. If they did, they would immediately get all of the Never Trumpers and all of the Moderate Republicans that were pushed out during the Tea Party wave and into the Trump Era. This new party would also attract many (if not most) of the Conservative/Corporate Democrats who are starting to be pushed out by Liberals and Progressive as the Democrats slowly move more Left. Leave the GOP for the Right-wing extremists of this country to flock to. I think this new "third" party will be formidable almost immediately.

  2. The smartest thing they would/could/should do is take the "Lincoln Project" and turn it into an actual political party that would consist of Moderate Republicans and Conservative Democrats. Leaving the Republican Party to the extremists would be the best thing they could do for themselves AND the country.
