@exsappermadman25055 Hardly a dead heat, The RAF won and the Luftwaffe lost. The Luftwaffe failed in every objective.

@MinneapolisSkip Germany could not invade Britain in 1940, the USAAF on the way two years later when they tried daylight bombing on a small scale soon found they needed protection which the RAF provided with Spitfires, the main escort fighter for the next year. The US daylight bombing was often ineffectual., the attempt to destroy the Ball bearing factories had little effect for rather bad losses, the first raid some 29 % of the bombs dropped fell within a 3 square mile area, subsequent raids had far less success, and some raids no bombs fell within that area at all.

@cyrusthegreat1893 Is that why I have no trouble finding books about WW II written by German soldiers and pilots? You can't deny how many civilians were murdered by the Nazi's.

Hippity Hoppity You really do not have a clue do you? The mass murder of millions of women and children by the Nazi's was the worst war crime ever. The fact that the Nazi's started bombing civilians with the intention of killing and terrorizing them even when there was no military purpose while RAF bombing was always aimed at military targets, many civilians were killed but they were not the target.
