Sometimes coincidences happen, I bought a new car and while I paid a big deposit I took out finance, all was approved and I was enjoying the car when I got an email, supposedly from a finance company asking me to confirm my bank account, fortunately I was a bit suspicious and ignored the email. two years later and no problems but I could easily have fallen for it.
