  1. Oliver. If any plane enters British airspace without permission it is sent packing and if it does not go it either has to land or gets shot down. Russia would not dare to do more than make a mild protest.

  2.  @LunaRose1312  Where are all these attacks on officers in England? I have not seen it for some reason, however on visits to USA I have seen a car chase in San Francisco resulting in an armed standoff right outside the hotel I was staying in. Then I was in Corpus Christ just after Selena was murdered. I was in Dallas and driving on the same road where a young policeman was shot and killed that afternoon. I was in Arizona when some lunatic shot and killed 58 people. I was in a situation in England where a gang was involved, I confronted the gang and managed to help 4 teenage girls get away and the unarmed police sorted out the gang. If the police regularly carried guns then so would criminals.

  4. 9/11 was in 2001 and the RAF was doing QRA using the Tornado F 3, but why would the RAF have anything to do with New York over 3,000 miles away, surely USA has it`s own air force.

  7. The Spitfire was better, it had a higher kill ratio and lower loss ratio. That is why the Spitfire earned it's reputation as the best WW II fighter.

  10. What about an entertainer who unarmed went up against a gang to successfully save some teenage girls, the same entertainer later got a medal for something very different and not as he would be the first to say bravery but for service to the community.

  11. With the best fighter able to get where it is needed very quickly standing patrols make no sense. The RAF has more Typhoons than the USA has Flop 22`s
