As a Norwegian I would like to give a big thank you to German politicians and voters! Thanks to your foresight, the high energy prices are the main reason Norway's government will get replaced in this years election. Norwegians don't want to pay loads of money for something we have in abundance, and the state enriches itself so enormously only behalf of regular people and businesses it's not even funny anymore. And this new shift in govenment (after the election) will hopefully make for a much more prosperous life and future for Norwegians, than the current leftist-shit-show we have going. So again - thanks Germany, we couldn't have decimated the left in Norway without your help.

@pjhgerlach - The oil fund managed to prevent Dutch disease back in the day. However, it has now grown so large that Norway is faced with a different challenge now. A too fat and lazy public sector, and too little incentives to work in private sector.

@ - yes we do. And we are now having trouble because it’s so big. Norway is getting fat and lazy.

@ - they have capped it for primary residence of people, but the cap is too high and it doesn’t apply to businesses nor secondary homes. Yes, they are stupid, and it will cost them the election. They could have fixed that in 15 minutes.

@santostv. - we sprinkle on some tourism for good measure, we have some fjords to show off. But the good news is that the Norwegian people seem to have already identified the main issues in our country, and are changing the votes to the party most likely to be able to fix things.
